Antonio Anaya - Violin

Antonio Anaya was born on September 28, 1970 in Chihuahua, Chihuahua, Mexico.  He is no stranger to mariachi music being that he is a second generation mariachi musician and music was always an important part of his life since childhood.  He comes from a family of which many other members are also professional musicians, including his father, several uncles, and nephews.
 
Antonio began playing the violin at the age of 12, and by the age of 14 was already performing professionally.  He first studied music through private instruction and because of his strong ambition and desire to learn, he went on to continue his formal music education at the "Bellas Artes Music School" located in the city of Chihuahua. 
 
Throughout the past 19 years, Antonio has played professionally with several mariachi groups including Mariachi Juveníl, Mariachi Imperial 2000, Mariachi Zapopan, Mariachi Nuevo Tapatio, Mariachi Centenario, Mariachi Los Caporales, and is now proud to be the newest member of Mariachi Tenampa. 
 
When it comes to accompanying artist on stage Antonio is again no stranger.  His experiences include providing accompaniment in concert for many famous artists such as Lucha Villa, Charro Avitia, Aida Cuevas, Antonio Aguilar, Maria De Lourdes and Miguel Aceves Mejia, as well as many other New Mexican artists.  He has also shared the stage in concert with some of the best mariachi groups in the world.
